Demetrio joined cub scouts as a Tiger scout in first grade at Farmersville Elementary School. He was proudly part of Pack 317.

He earned his Arrow of Light before crossing over into Troop 317 of Bethlehem Township. Demetrio enjoyed numerous camp outs and has volunteered at Day Camp for several years in a row. He attended high adventure camps in Philmont New Mexico, Seabase in the Florida Keys, and Sabbatis through the Adirondack Mountains. He is a member of the Order of Arrow and completed NYLT. Demetrio held leadership positions of Patrol Leader, Assistant Patrol Leader, Quartermaster, and Librarian.

For his Eagle Scout Project, Demetrio constructed a My Little Free Library at Farmersville Elementary School so he could give back to a school that gave him so many opportunities. He organized several of his scout friends to help with his project. The boys constructed the library, planted flowers, cleaned up the courtyard and collected books to keep the library filled for years. Demetrio also earned both Bronze and Gold Palms at his Court of Honor for earning 10 additional merit badges beyond Eagle requirements.

Demetrio is currently a junior at Freedom High School. He works at Country Meadows in Dining Services, shoots competitive archery, and is involved in Robotics Club and Engineering Club.
