Dorothy E. Derrico, 91, of Hokendauqu­a, passed away peacefully on Thursday, December 20, 2018 in her home surrounded by her loving family. She was the loving wife of the late Jacob P. Derrico, who passed away in 2007. Born in Nanticoke, she was the daughter of the late Carter and Edith (Davies) Bache. Dorothy earned her associates degree from the University of Pennsylvan­ia. She worked as a Lab Technician in Columbus, OH,and later moved to Pennsylvan­ia, and worked for Sacred Heart Hospital in Allentown. Dorothy was a member of the First Presbyteri­an Church of Hokendaqua. Dorothy loved spending time with her family, especially having them over for Sunday dinners. Her passions were reading, exercising and gardening. SURVIVORS: She will be lovingly remembered by her sons David and his wife Karen of Gainesvill­e, Fla. and Jack and his wife Sally of Columbia, MD.; daughters Dotty VanStrande­r and her husband Terry of Lehighton, Karen Derrico of Whitehall and Gina Brokenshir­e and her husband Terry of Whitehall; 11 grandchild­ren and 5 great-grandchild­ren. Dorothy was preceded in death by her grandson T.J. and siblings Bill, Tom, Dave, Carter, Charles, Edith and Florence.

SERVICES: A Memorial Service will be held at 1 P.M. on Sunday, December 30, 2018 at the Cantelmi Long Funeral Home, 500 Linden Street, Bethlehem,PA 18018 where the family will receive relatives and friends from 12 Noon until time of the service.
