Warning: Scam call impersonates police

Bethlehem residents, be aware: Someone is calling city residents claiming to be the police.

On Facebook Friday, Bethlehem police posted: “The Bethlehem Police Department has been made aware of several phone calls being placed to residents from someone purporting to be us. The number the call is originating from is 610862-4025. Upon calling the number back you receive an answering message with a computerized female voice. This is not a number associated with our Police Department.”

If you get a call from someone saying they are a Bethlehem police officer and you think it might be a scam, police ask that you report it at 610-865-7187.
