Meeting about Beltzville State Park scheduled

The operation of Beltzville State Park will be the focus of a public meeting hosted by the Pennsylvania Department of Conservation and Natural Resources’ Bureau of State Parks.

The informational session will be held 4-8 p.m. Jan. 17 at the Towamensing Township Volunteer Fire Company, 105 Firehouse Road, Palmerton. The meeting was originally scheduled in November but had to be postponed due to inclement weather.

Attendees will have the opportunity to ask questions of representatives from a variety of groups, including the U.S. Army Corp of Engineers, state government, Pennsylvania Game Commission, Pennsylvania Fish and Boat Commission, Penn State University, DCNR park personnel and others.
