Meet­ing about Beltzville State Park sched­uled

The op­er­a­tion of Beltzville State Park will be the fo­cus of a pub­lic meet­ing hosted by the Penn­syl­va­nia Depart­ment of Con­ser­va­tion and Nat­u­ral Re­sources’ Bureau of State Parks.

The in­for­ma­tional ses­sion will be held 4-8 p.m. Jan. 17 at the Towa­mensing Town­ship Vol­un­teer Fire Com­pany, 105 Fire­house Road, Palmer­ton. The meet­ing was orig­i­nally sched­uled in Novem­ber but had to be postponed due to in­clement weather.

At­ten­dees will have the op­por­tu­nity to ask ques­tions of rep­re­sen­ta­tives from a va­ri­ety of groups, in­clud­ing the U.S. Army Corp of En­gi­neers, state gov­ern­ment, Penn­syl­va­nia Game Com­mis­sion, Penn­syl­va­nia Fish and Boat Com­mis­sion, Penn State Univer­sity, DCNR park per­son­nel and oth­ers.
