Barbara May Reed

Reed, Barbara May went to be with the Lord on December 25th, 2018. Barbara was born in Indianapolis, Indiana and moved to Bethlehem,

PA in the late 60; s with her husband Harold to raise their 3 daughters. Barbara completed her undergraduate degree at Moravian College and received her Masters of Education at Lehigh University. Barbara worked in Bethlehem as a reading specialist for Northampton County School District. Barbara always kept active through volunteer work, and several organizations she belonged to such as Silver Liners, AAUW, and Tri-Delta. She and her family attended the First Presbyterian Church in Bethlehem, PA. In 1990 Barbara semi-retired and moved to Riverview, FL with her husband. In Florida she continued to work as a substitute teacher, volunteer at her church and in the community, travel and take cruises, workout and run, and stay involved in the above organizations. Barbara is survived by her daughters Lisa Bohn {Greg], Laura Reed, and Robyn Dyer {Jon], her sister Deborah Smith, 5 grandchildren, 1 great grandchild and nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her husband, Harold Reed. A celebration of Life ceremony will be held on Saturday January 19, 2019 at 11am at St Andrews United Methodist Church in Brandon, Florida.
