Allentown Symphony Association announces new board member
The Allentown Symphony Association has announced that William H. Spence, Chief Executive Officer and President of PPL, has joined the symphony board. Spence has been the CEO and president of PPL since 2011 and chairman of the board since April 1, 2012.
Spence served as the chief operating officer of PPL Maine. He served as the president of PPL Generation June 2008 to March 5, 2012.
Spence also serves on the board of directors of Williams Companies Inc. and the Lehigh Valley Health Network. He is on the board of trustees of the United States Council for International Business, on the Lehigh Valley Partnership executive board and is a trustee adviser to the Delaware Museum of Natural History. He is a member of the executive committee of the Downtown Allentown Community Development Initiative and serves on Allentown School District’s Building 21 Executive Committee.
