Lehigh Coroner Scott Grim leaving for state job

Lehigh County Coroner Scott Grim announced last week that he is giving up the elected post at the end of February after 22 years to work with the state Department of Health, investigating violent deaths. In the newly created position, he’ll work with district attorneys, law enforcement officials and coroners to track violent deaths and develop programs to reduce them.

What’s next? The county commissioners will appoint an interim coroner.
