ACBL, BML yet to make call on seasons

Dylan Dando admits baseball is his life.

He is not only the manager of the Allentown Railers of the Atlantic Collegiate Baseball League, but he’s the owner and director of the Lehigh Valley Baseball Academy and is involved with Elite Championship Tournament Baseball organization.

So when baseball is shut down by the coronavirus outbreak, Dando’s life is pretty much shut down as well.

“It is frustrating,” he said. “It’s one of those things where not much can be done other than playing the waiting game and wait for the decision-makers. Those decision-makers are making decisions on my livelihood, which I really don’t like too much. But there’s not a whole lot I can do about it.”

Dando is hopeful that all of the area’s baseball diamonds can be opened up soon and players of all ages and levels can enjoy the game that has meant so much to them over the years.
