Summer camps at Jacobsburg
Jacobsburg Environmental Education Center, 400 Belfast Road, Bushkill Township, will offer the following summer camps:
DiscoverE Outdoor Explorers: Learning to Love the Unlovables — ages 6-8, 9-11 a.m. Monday, Wednesday and Friday the week of Aug. 10.
DiscoverE Outdoor Explorers: Here We Grow! — ages 6-8. 9-11 a.m. Monday, Wednesday and Friday the weeks of Aug. 3, and Aug. 17.
DiscoverE Penn’s Adventurers: What’s in Your WILD Backyard? — ages 9-12. 9 a.m. to noon Tuesday and Thursday the week of Aug. 11.
DiscoverE Penn’s Adventurers: Creek Critters — ages 9-12, 9 a.m. to noon Tuesday and Thursday the weeks of Aug. 4 and Aug. 18.

Camps are filled first-come, first-served based on the date the application and $15 registration fee are received at the center. If you need an accommodation to participate in a program, contact the park office at 610-746-2801 or jacobsburgsp@pa.gov. at Learn a variety of collection techniques, including vacuum collection devices and capillary/skin-puncture methods.
Two evening courses will be held 6-9 p.m. Mondays and Wednesdays. Cost is $1,460, which includes text.
Classes will be held Aug. 17 through Dec. 9 at the Schnecksville campus, 4525 Education Park Drive and Aug. 24 through Dec. 16 at the Tamaqua campus, 234 High St.
Classes may transition to remote at any time due to the guidelines put in place for COVID-19, and participants will be contacted via email or phone.
