Several readers have inquired about construction in the MacArthur Commons in Whitehall Township.

Here’s the scoop: Wireless provider T-Mobile and franchise Smoothie King are expected to open near the end of the year in an under-construction building in the shopping center’s parking lot, behind Burger King and in front of Planet Fitness, according to Jason Abrams, managing partner of Montgomery County-based Abrams Realty & Development, which purchased the 2631 MacArthur Road center in 2018.

Smoothie King, a Dallas chain with more than 1,000 locations worldwide, offers 75 smoothie blends in four categories: fitness, blended with protein-rich ingredients to help you fuel up or recover faster; slim, blended to help you stay on track with under 350 calories; wellness, blended with vitamins essential to maintaining a healthy body; and break time, blended to help you reward yourself or simply enjoy the day.

The Whitehall Township location, featuring a drive-thru, will be the chain’s first in the Lehigh Valley.

T-Mobile, with more than a dozen area locations, offers cellphones and accessories, smart devices and wireless plans.

The MacArthur Commons store will be a relocation of an outpost in operation across Route 145 in the MacArthur Towne Center.

“The pad is a much better location with better visibility,” Abrams said.
