Stephen C. Keppel, Jr., 93, of Nazareth, passed away peacefully with his loving family on Friday, July 31, 2020 at his home. He is the beloved husband of Marjorie (Griffin) Keppel, they celebrated 70 years of marriage on September 17, 2019. Stephen was born on April 12, 1927 in Lower Nazareth Twp., he is the son of the late Stephen C. Keppel, Sr. and late Theresa (Welk) Keppel. Stephen graduated from Nazareth Area High School and graduated from Lafayette College in 1949, where he was the center for the Leopards championsh­ip football team of 1948. He proudly served in the U.S. Navy in the Pacific theater during WWII. He retired as regional manager for Internatio­nal Paper, from the former St. Regis Paper Co., of Nazareth, working there from 1949-1995. Stephen was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church, of Nazareth, and belonged to the Knights of Columbus Council

#4282. He was also a member of Northampto­n Country Club, of Easton. Stephen was an avid golfer and world traveler. In addition to his wife, he is deeply missed by children, Curtis Keppel and wife Denise, of Orlando,

FL, Claudia Griffin and husband John, of Levittown, PA, Stephen C. Keppel, III and wife Brenda, of Carrboro,

NC, Patrick Keppel and wife Serina, of Brattlebor­o,

VT; also by eleven grandchild­ren and nineteen greatgrand­children. He was pre-deceased by grandson,

James Keppel, who passed away in 2003. A Memorial Service will be held and announced at a later date due to the current health crisis. Arrangemen­ts have been entrusted to the Joseph F. Reichel Funeral Home Inc. of Nazareth.
