Community programs at Jacobsburg
Jacobsburg Environmental Education Center, 400 Belfast Road, Bushkill Township, will offer the following programs.
Outdoor School with Jacobsburg: 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Thursdays, September through November. We require at least five students for a free hourlong lesson, and group sizes are limited to 20. For information, call 610-746-2801.
DiscoverE: Tales for Tots: 10-10:45 a.m. or 1-1:45 p.m., Sept. 1, 8, 15, 22, 29, Oct. 6, 13 or 10-10:45 a.m. Sept. 4, 11, 18, 25, Oct. 2, 9, 16.
Teaching Area Restoration: 8:3010:30 a.m. Sept. 2, 16, 30, Oct. 14 and 28.
Weekly Weeders: 8:30-10:30 a.m. Sept. 9, 23, Oct. 7 and 21.
Girl Scouts Love Learning About Invasive Species: 2-3 p.m. Sept. 12.
Hike for Health: 5:30-7 p.m. Sept. 16 and Oct. 14. Meet at the Visitor Center, 400 Belfast Road, Nazareth.
Virtual: A Chat About Chickadees and Climate Change: 7-8 p.m. Sept. 17.
Family Night — Magnificent Monarchs: 6:30-7:30 p.m. Sept. 18.
Monarch Tagging: 10-11:30 a.m. Sept. 19.
Monday Morning Birds & Beans: 8-9:30 a.m. Sept. 21, 28, Oct. 19.
Registration required for all programs in order to limit group size in accordance with current health guidelines. Participants must wear a mask and practice social distancing while attending the programs. View and register for community programs online at events.dcnr.pa.gov.
