Guilty plea on hold over pension
A former Allentown police officer got more time to make a guilty plea in his theft case while he fights for his pension. Corey Cole originally pleaded guilty to stealing more than $300,000 from the Lehigh Township Fireman’s Relief Association, but a judge gave him more time to make the plea pending the pension case.
What’s next? Cole hopes to get his full pension restored, which would enable him to be sentenced to work release and make restitution.
