Cheating not new for military academies
A recent letter to the editor in The Morning Call suggested one only need look at President Trump’s behavior to find reason for a recent test cheating scandal at the U.S. Military Academy. A sad, but true, fact is that research reveals cheating scandals at the Army, Navy, Air Force and Coast Guard academies in 1951, 1965, 1967, 1974, 1976, 1984, 1992 and 2004, among other disciplinary incidents at each location.
In fairness, then, should not the behavior of the presiding commander-in-chief in each of those years be examined as well?
