‘Trooper Rossi’ dies at 84

Ronald Rossi, a veteran lawman known as “Trooper Rossi” for his years of giving lessons on safety and common sense to Lehigh Valley schoolchildren, died at age 84. Rossi was Lehigh County sheriff for 24 years after nearly three decades as a state trooper.

What’s next? Rossi will be buried with honors by the Pennsylvania State Police Ceremonial Unit on Jan. 23.
