Rioters desecrate what others died to save

-

The 9/11 Report surmised that a group of terrorists hijacked United Flight 93 on its way from Newark airport to San Francisco and they intended to fly the plane into the White House or the U.S. Capitol, but were defeated by the alerted, unarmed passengers.

The battle aboard the plane was burned into history by passenger Todd Beamer, who used an onboard phone to report what happened. They fought to the death that day to save these landmarks, splendid symbols of our democracy, from harm.

In contrast, these rioters ardently rushed to the U.S. Capitol on Jan. 6 to desecrate it and commit mayhem. They deserve to be punished for their shameful actions.
