2009: Mike Kopp becomes the winningest girls basketball coach in state history when Central Catholic beats Southern Lehigh 46-23 in the District 11 Class 3A quarterfin­als. The win is the 789th for Kopp, allowing him to move past former Pittsburgh North Catholic coach Don Barth.

2009: For the first time in school history, Northampto­n qualifies its entire 14-man lineup for regionals and rolls to the team title in the District 11 Class 3A wrestling tournament. The Konkrete Kids crown five champions, including two-time winners Steve Fenningham, Jimmy Sheptock and Joe Piro. 2009: Northweste­rn’s Evan Yenolevich becomes the first four-time District 11 wrestling champion in 21 years with a 5-0 win over Wilson’s D.J. Hartman at 125 points. Yenolevich previously won titles at 103, 112, and 119.

2009: Alexandra Chili’s 3-pointer with 1.2 seconds left and Kelly McKeon’s triple-double (13 points, 11 rebounds and 10 assists), the second in school history, helps Muhlenberg to a 68-65 win over Ursinus, capping the first-ever undefeated women’s basketball regular season (18-0) in Centennial Conference history.

2009: Denny Robison reveals he will step down as the only manager in Quakertown Blazers history after leading the summer college team to a 625-380 record and six Atlantic Collegiate Baseball League titles in his 25 years. Robison coached more than

120 players that eventually played profession­ally including nine that reached the major leagues.

2004: Despite losing four state placewinne­rs from the previous season, Wilson captures its fifth straight District 11 Class 2A wrestling tournament team title with 207.5 points, edging Northern Lehigh (204) and Northweste­rn (202). Meanwhile, Northampto­n crowns six individual champions and runs away from the Class 3A field with a tournament-record 281 points.
