Three charged with weapons, drugs
Allentown police said they have charged three men with various infractions, with one of them accused of possession of stolen handguns.
In a news release Friday, police said officers were assisting Lehigh County adult probation personnel, who were conducting an unspecified investigation in the area of North Fourth and West Gordon streets. The men who were part of the probation officers’ investigation fled into a home and climbed a roof of a nearby residence in attempting to flee.
Authorities later arrested Rolando A. Savinon, Reynaldo Sepulveda and Richard E. Otero without incident and served a search warrant for the home where the trio fled, according to the news release.
Police said the search turned up two loaded 9 mm handguns: a stolen, a loaded 9 mm handgun with an extended magazine and a stolen, loaded AR-15. Authorities also recovered two other handguns, “a large amount” of marijuana and two dirt bikes.
