Riverfront project moves ahead

Manhattan Building Co. has secured $4.8 million in Neighborhood Improvement Zone tax financing for the first phase of its redevelopment of a vacant furniture factory on the Allentown riverfront. The Riverfront Lofts project will be on the 200 block of Front Street.

What’s next? MBC expects the project to create about 50 jobs by 2027. It hopes to complete construction by Nov. 2022.
