Zoo plans ‘Habitat Madagascar’
The Lehigh Valley Zoo’s lemurs and tortoises have had to move around due to weather conditions, but the zoo hopes to change that with its plans for “Habitat Madagascar,” a new indoor and outdoor year-round habitat.
What’s next? The new habitat, due to be officially open next spring, also will provide for the type of environment the lemurs and tortoises have in the wild, where animals of different species often live together.
