Shirley A. Kemmerer, 84, of Bethlehem, passed away on Friday, November 26, 2021 in St. Luke's Hospital – Fountain Hill. She was the wife of the late Wayne C. Kemmerer, who died in

2013.

Born in Allentown, she was a daughter of the late Harold and Myrtle (Fosnocht) Thompson. Shirley worked for Hess's, and later was a housekeepe­r at Good Shepherd for 10 years. Most recently she helped her family operate “Connie's Cakes & Cookies” in Bethlehem for 13 years. Shirley's favorite pastime was going to casinos and gambling.

Survivors: Daughter, Cynthia Rindock and her husband Gerald of Myrtle Beach, SC; son, Brian Kemmerer and his wife Connie of Salisbury Township; sister, Sandra Guido and her husband Sam of Neffs; brothers, Elwood Thompson and his wife Pat of Whitehall and Harold Thompson, Jr. of Nazareth; sister-in-law, Carol Thompson, with whom she resided; 6 grandchild­ren and 4 great-grandchild­ren; beloved dog, Katie. Shirley was preceded in death by her daughter Lorri A. Czipoth, sister Violet Behler and brother Harvey Thompson.

Services: A memorial service will be held at 10 AM on Saturday, December 11, 2021 in the K.V. Knopp Funeral Home, Inc., 46 E. Susquehann­a Street, Allentown. A visitation for relatives and friends will be held from 9 AM until the time of the service. Interment will follow at Woodlawn Memorial Park, Allentown. We request that face coverings are worn inside the funeral home if you are not vaccinated.
