Eugene “Moon” A. Trexler, 90, of Allentown, died peacefully at home on January 27, 2022, surrounded by his loving wife of 59 years, Rosemary (Dolgos) Trexler. Moon was born in Allentown, and was the son of the

late George and Mary (Malone) Trexler. Moon proudly served in the US Army. Moon will be greatly remembered by the lives he touched; whether it be his family, friends and breakfast buddies, fellow soldiers in the Korean War or the baseball and softball communitie­s of the Allentown Patriots. Wherever

Moon went he knew someone. He lived his life to the fullest: he was fun-loving and kind and enjoyed music,

especially country music and polkas.

Moon was a dedicated hardball coach who greatly enjoyed coaching many kids of the community who came through the Allentown Patriots organizati­on, he helped found and played Old Timers Softball at the Allentown Patriots and loved playing handball. Moon was a hard worker and retired from Spirax Sarco in 1994 where he worked in the shipping department and previously worked for the former REA Express of Allentown.

Moon was an avid sports fan who always enjoyed a good ballgame with a cold beer, so next time you watch a ballgame keep Moon in your thoughts.

In addition to his beloved wife Rosemary, he is survived by his two children; Gene Trexler and Denise TrexlerSol­omon (husband Paul Solomon); Sister, Mildred Mondovich; twin grandchild­ren, Kyle and Alexis Solomon: and many beloved in-laws, cousins, nieces,

and nephews. He was preceded in death by a sister and 4 brothers.
