88, of Center Valley, passed peacefully on

Thursday January 27, 2022. Leonard was the husband of Kathleen A. (Christman) Spaar and they celebrated their 61st anniversar­y this past June. Born in Zion Hill, Pa. Leonard was a son of the late John and Helen (Kehs) Spaar. Leonard was a member of Assumption BVM Roman Catholic Church in Colesville. Leonard retired after 20 years of service in the US Air Force, and then worked for the Pennsylvan­ia LCB until retirement. He was a Fourth Degree member of Calvary Council #528 and was a past financial secretary. Leonard was a life member of VFW

Post 3405, and Post 7293. He was a member of American Legion Post #397 and was currently the Quarter Master of VFW District 8 in Pensylvani­a. He was preceded in

death by his siblings; Thomas, Charles, and Barbara Weiand. Surviving with his wife Kathleen are his son David and wife Seana of Belfont, Pa., and his daughter Stephanie wife of Joseph DiMiao of Reading. His sister Lucille Fox resides in Emmaus. Leonard has two granddaugh­ters; Amber and fiance Billy Lore, and Kayleigh Clymer. His great grandsons are; Leo and Wesley.

A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Wednesday February 2, 2022 at 11:00 am in Assumption BVM. Calling will be on Tuesday evening from 6:00-8:00 pm in the O'Donnell Funeral Home, Allentown, and on Wednesday from 10:00-11:00 am in the church. In lieu of flowers contributi­ons may be made to Allentown Central Catholic High School. Interment with Military Honors will be on Monday February 7, 2022 at 11:00 am in the Washington Crossing National Cemetery.
