Arthur J. Mulligan
Arthur J. Mulligan, 81, of Bethlehem, PA, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on Thursday, February
3, 2022, in the comfort of his home. He was the loving husband of Patricia C. (Schneider) Mulligan for 50 years until her passing on March 24, 2012. He was the loving Fiancé of Kathy Ferguson. Arthur was born on September
12, 1940, in Newark, NJ, the son of the late John Arthur Mulligan and late Catherine (Caufield) Mulligan. Arthur proudly served in the United States Navy. He was a career Mortgage Banker who found joy in helping families own a home. Anyone who knew Arthur understood that his Catholic faith was his guiding light. He was a daily communicant at Sacred Heart Parish, of Bath; volunteered as a hospital Chaplain and at Meals on Wheels. He loved his grandchildren who could expect a geography quiz at any moment. Even in his 80’s, Arthur was physically fit, a competitive tennis player, loved classical music and was a NY Ranger fan and “suffering” NY Jets fan. Most importantly, Arthur loved his family. In addition to his Fiancée, Arthur will be deeply missed by children, Maureen Mourt and husband Paul, of Hatfield, PA, Timothy Mulligan and wife Peggy, of Breinigsville,
PA, Brian Mulligan and wife Katherine, of Easton, PA, Michael Mulligan and wife Nancy, of Parsippany, NJ, Kathleen Yodock and husband Leo “Joe”, of Buckhorn, PA, and John Mulligan and wife Melissa, of Easton, PA; 15 grandchildren and 1 great-granddaughter; sisters, Judy Mondino, of Rockaway, NJ, Nancy Schirmer and Fiancé Tom Reynolds, of Old Bridge, NJ, and Karen Fenton and husband Stephen, of Springfield, NJ; sisterin-law, Barbara “Bobbie” Kelly, of Neshanic Station,
NJ; also by his many nieces and nephews. Family and friends of Arthur are invited to a visitation on Tuesday, February 8, 2022, from 6:00-8:00 PM at the Joseph F. Reichel Funeral Home Inc., 220 Washington Park, Nazareth, PA 18064. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, February 9, 2022, at 10:30 AM at Sacred Heart Parish, 210 E. Northampton St., Bath, PA
18014, followed by Military Honors. Masks are highly recommended. There are no calling hours or burial on Wednesday. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Arthur’s memory to “St. Luke’s Hospice” and mailed to: St. Luke’s Hospice Development Office 801 Ostrum St. Bethlehem, PA 18015.
