Melissa E.

Stewart, 45, of Leesport, passed away on Monday, March 21, 2022 in her residence surrounded by her family after a long and courageous battle with cancer. She was a loving and wonderful wife to Dustin Stewart. They would have been married 5 years on April 15, 2022. In addition, she was a loving and devoted mother to her son,

Brayden C. Stewart (9).

Born in Allentown, she was the daughter of Andrew and LuAnn (Meckes) Bresnak of Bethlehem.

Melissa was a 1994 graduate of Liberty High School, Bethlehem. A graduate of

East Stroudsbur­g College she achieved her Doctorate of Physical Therapy from Regis University in Colorado. She was last employed by Tower Health as a physical therapist for 8 years, last working in September 2020.

She is also survived by a brother, Andrew Bresnak Jr. husband of Amy. Also her aunts; Lynn (Jack), Lisa (Paul), her uncles; Lee (Julie) and Larry and cousins. Her in-laws; Dennis and Karen Stewart and Dennis and Sharon Wasser also survive her. And her precious canine companion, Penny.

She will be remembered for her caring and devotion to her patients, her love of plants and flowers and helping her husband in their garden; and spending time outdoors at home or at the beach, or skiing or walking Penny. She had a passion for music, especially attending Phish concerts with her best friends Dawn and Tracy. Her greatest love was her family and friends.
