Michael J. Troxell, 60, of Jenkins Twp. passed away Saturday, April 16, 2022, at home. His wife is the former Susan Kayatin. He was the widower of the late Mary Gennaro. Born in Easton, he was a son of the late Earl and Margaret Beam Troxell.

A graduate of Easton High School and Mansfield University with a degree in criminal justice, Mike was a record-setting quarterbac­k for the Rovers and the Mounties and had a former career as a police officer in Huntsville, Alabama. Mike was employed at Gilberton Power Station as a shift supervisor since 2001.

A loving husband, father, grandfathe­r, and brother, Mike was known to those who loved him as loving, positive, and optimistic. He started each morning with a song in his heart and a skip in his step. A do-it-yourself man, he had pride for his Corvette and newly renovated basement. But, most of all, he had unrivaled pride for his children and grandchild­ren who will continue to live their lives in his honor. He will be remembered by the love of his life, Susan Kayatin Troxell, his daughter, Allie Grill and husband Chris and grandchild­ren Asher and Livia; son, Nick Troxell and partner Haley Schwartz; stepson Chris Williams and wife Jessica and grandchild­ren Wyatt and Stevie; sister Cindy Roscioli and brother Mark Troxell and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was also preceded in death by a stepson, Stephen Kayatin.

The funeral will be Wednesday with Mass of Christian Burial at 1 p.m. at Divine Mercy Parish at St. Joseph’s Church, 312 Davis St., Scranton, celebrated by Rev. Francis Pauselli, pastor, followed by interment at Cathedral Cemetery. Friends and family may call Wednesday from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. at Neil W. Regan Funeral Home, Inc., 1900 Pittston Ave., Scranton PA 18505.

Those attending the mass may proceed directly

to the church.
