Robert J. Moore
Robert J. Moore, of Center Valley, PA, passed away on May 1, 2022 at the age
91. He was born in Nanticoke, PA, to the late Ellsworth and Helen (Zupko) Moore and was predeceased by his beloved wife of 64 years, Dorothy M. (Tenaglia) Moore, in 2015. The son of a coal miner, Bob enlisted in the U.S.
Air Force and fought in the Korean War. In 1955, Bob joined Bell Telephone Laboratories, assembling vacuum tubes for telephone switching systems. He attended the Newark College of Engineering at night, while working full-time, and earned his B.S. in Electrical Engineering. He went on to design integrated circuits for
telecommunications and computers, and to develop fabrication processes, before becoming an Account Manager and Applications Engineer with AT&T-Bell Labs Customer Service until his retirement in 1994. Bob also served for several years with the Upper Saucon Township Planning Commission and the Zoning Hearing Board.
Bob was a source of encouragement and support for family and friends throughout his life; his memory and example will continue to be an inspiration to those who knew him. Survivors: Daughters: Judy Moore and Gail Colon, son-in-law Manuel Colon, grandson Tyler Colon, sister Patricia Brudnicki, brother Richard Moore, nieces and nephews, especially niece Paula Walker, grandnieces Jennifer Micciche and Julianne Danchak, and grandnephew David Walker. He was also predeceased by a sister, Nancy Hiller. Services are Private. Contributions may be made to: The Susan G.
