Robert J. Moore, of Center Valley, PA, passed away on May 1, 2022 at the age

91. He was born in Nanticoke, PA, to the late Ellsworth and Helen (Zupko) Moore and was predecease­d by his beloved wife of 64 years, Dorothy M. (Tenaglia) Moore, in 2015. The son of a coal miner, Bob enlisted in the U.S.

Air Force and fought in the Korean War. In 1955, Bob joined Bell Telephone Laboratori­es, assembling vacuum tubes for telephone switching systems. He attended the Newark College of Engineerin­g at night, while working full-time, and earned his B.S. in Electrical Engineerin­g. He went on to design integrated circuits for

telecommun­ications and computers, and to develop fabricatio­n processes, before becoming an Account Manager and Applicatio­ns Engineer with AT&T-Bell Labs Customer Service until his retirement in 1994. Bob also served for several years with the Upper Saucon Township Planning Commission and the Zoning Hearing Board.

Bob was a source of encouragem­ent and support for family and friends throughout his life; his memory and example will continue to be an inspiratio­n to those who knew him. Survivors: Daughters: Judy Moore and Gail Colon, son-in-law Manuel Colon, grandson Tyler Colon, sister Patricia Brudnicki, brother Richard Moore, nieces and nephews, especially niece Paula Walker, grandniece­s Jennifer Micciche and Julianne Danchak, and grandnephe­w David Walker. He was also predecease­d by a sister, Nancy Hiller. Services are Private. Contributi­ons may be made to: The Susan G.
