Dorothy Barkocy Licini, 90, passed away peacefully on Friday, July 15th, 2022 in Wakefield

MA, in the company of her family. She was

the beloved wife of Carl William Licini for 64 years, who predecease­d her by seven months. Born March 23, 1932 in Hazelton, PA, her family soon moved to Allentown where she graduated from Allentown Central Catholic High School, worked as a secretary for Western Electric,

married, raised her children, and became a teacher's aide at Dieruff High School. Carl and

Dorothy then lived in Ballston Spa, NY for 15 years, where Dorothy enjoyed being a docent at the National Bottle Museum. For the past 20 years she and her husband lived in Alva, FL where she was active with the Red Hat Society, treasurer of the Garden Club, and docent at the Alva Museum. She was a loving and caring mother, who opened her home to take in her older brother Andrew Barkocy's three young children for a year after their mother's sudden passing. She spent vacations traveling extensivel­y around the country with her husband and children. She found great joy bringing beauty to

the world via her craft projects, ceramics, gardening, and flowers. Dorothy is survived by her sister Eleanor Strobel of Allentown and younger brother Edward Barkocy of Colorado Springs

CO, her son Jerome Licini and wife Grace Gannon of Macungie, daughter Joyce Vigneau and husband Michael Vigneau of Stoneham MA, daughter Janet Connors and husband Jeffrey Connors of Lexington KY, a grandson Andrew

Licini, and two granddaugh­ters. A small service will be held at St. John the Baptist Church of Allentown at a date TBD.
