Michael D. Fox
74 years of age and resident of Whitehall, passed away on Thursday July 28, 2022. He was the husband of Sharon L. (Stoneback) Fox for 54 years. Born in Allentown, he was a son of the late Peter P. and Eleanor A. (Bauer) Fox. Mike attended Central Catholic High School graduating in 1965. After High School, Mike served in
the U.S. Air Force from 1965-1968. After serving his Country, Mike worked at the Bethlehem Steel, then worked for Quad Systems/Tyco Electronics as an electronic technician where he retired from in 2007. Mike enjoyed bowling in leagues with the Young Men's Club and the Fearless Fire Co. and golfing with his friends. He also took pride in his volunteer work at the Fullerton American Legion Post 367, where he was the finance officer for over 10 years. He enjoyed his morning coffee talks with Greg, assisting the bartenders and hanging at the Legion with his friends, especially Twiggy. Mike loved spending time with his wife, daughters and grandchildren and all his friends. He looked forward to vacationing in St. Pete Beach every November where he was known as the “Mayor of St. Pete Beach.” He will be truly missed by everyone who knew him. Surviving beside his wife are daughters Lisa Wagner with husband Robert of Allentown, Michelle Shuler with husband Glen of
Whitehall, Diane Eck with husband Matthew Sr. of Macungie; grandchildren Ryan, Christian,
Briana, Shaina and Joshua; great grandchildren Riley, Aiden, Aviana, and Jayden; predeceased
by grandson, Matthew D. Eck, Jr., brother Peter Fox and sister Mary Ellen Fox.
Services will be 11:00 am Friday August 5, 2022 in the Gilbert Funeral Home 444 Pershing Blvd. Whitehall, PA 18052, located 1 block south of the Fullerton Ave. exit of Route 22, where his family will receive guests beginning a 9:00 am. For those who wish to honor Michael with a memorial contribution, donations can be made to the Fullerton American Legion Post 367,
