Support the “Prepare with Pedro” program

and save lives presenting emergency preparedne­ss education to youth in school classrooms and other settings. American Red Cross team member roles include presenter, presentati­on assistant, administra­tive support or presenter trainer. Celebratin­g 42 years, the Museum of Indian Culture invites you to Pennsylvan­ia’s oldest Native American Indian festival. The Roasting Ears of Corn festival is scheduled for Aug. 20 and 21. Areas of need are food stand, parking lot attendant, children’s activity area, trash attendant, floater, kitchen food prep helpers and cleanup staff. Four-hour shifts. Minimum age 16 with adult. Who doesn’t love to shout BINGO?

No Child Left Behind is an annual back-to-school event providing free haircuts, backpacks, and school supplies to local children in Easton. Third Street Alliance is collecting supplies until Aug. 15 and needs adult volunteers for the following activities: collecting backpack and school supply donations, picking up and transporti­ng donations, stuffing backpacks, helping with social media outreach, and volunteeri­ng on the day of the event, noon to 4 p.m. Aug. 21.
