Buffer zone law would harm women
I have known so many cases of women who have been helped, encouraged, and empowered by the work of pro-life advocates.
The proposed ordinances before the Allentown City Council to create a buffer zone around health care facilities would block pregnant women from receiving the support they need during a challenging time in their lives.
The legislation also clearly violates First Amendment protections for free speech.
Rather than pursuing such misguided policies, let us work together to provide a supportive, compassionate environment for women in difficult circumstances. Maria V. Gallagher
