Free admission policy begins

Thanks to a huge donation from Century Fund, and major contributions from City Center Allentown and the Lehigh Health Network, the Allentown Art Museum will no longer be charging admission. The policy began Saturday. Mayor Matt Tuerk was on hand, as well as artist Val Bertoia, who struck the large gong made by his father, Harry, during the opening ceremony for the museum’s American Galleries Exhibition.
