Donald C. Michaels

Donald C. Michaels, 88, formerly of Allentown, passed away Thursday, August 25, 2022 at Country Meadows, Bethlehem. He was the husband of the late Joanne L. (Pokrzywa) Michaels. Born in Johnstown,

PA, he was the son of the late Robert and

Ina (Folmar) Michaels. For 30 years, he worked as an electrical technician at Bell Labs, before retiring in 1990. He was an Army veteran stationed in Germany during the Korean Conflict. He will be remembered for his woodworking and stained glass skills, gardening, as well as his dry sense of humor.

Survivors: sons Frederick J. and his wife Julie of Pottsgrove, Steven E. and his wife Susan of Allentown; daughters Kathleen M., wife of Robert Shema of Irving, TX, Laura M., wife of David Betz of Nazareth, Ina M. Mavromatis, wife of Joseph Kurtz of Macungie; 8 grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren. He was predeceased by his brothers and sisters.

Services will be private.
