Lehigh Valley war casualty coming home, 72 years later

Edward Reiter was 17 when he dropped out of Northampto­n Area High School to enlist in the Army in November 1949. Eight months later, he disappeare­d on a battlefiel­d in South Korea, just weeks into the Korean War. For seven decades, his family did not know what happened to him, but on Tuesday, they got some closure due to the diligence of military profession­als and because of advancemen­ts in technology.
