Dr. Oz gives impressive speech
I saw Dr. Oz at a meeting hosted by the Hispanic Republican Center. He was pretty good. Frankly, I didn’t expect him to impress. I’m not a fan of Hollywood types and “turn off ” when some celebrity tries to tell me what to think.
Oz spoke about being a child of immigrants, grew up in Philadelphia, educated at Penn, played football, went onto to medical school — impressive. He spoke of the “American dream,” the freedom to become whatever you want to be in America.
I learned he invented some medical device for the heart — smart dude. Yes, he went on to become a TV show host. I never saw his show. He said the show was about explaining medical and health care topics in “plain language” to help people. I should have watched it.
He is not as conservative as some would like and too conservative for others. Hoping Mr. Fetterman will do a better job exploring the issues rather than his sophomoric tweet campaign about Oz’s New Jersey connections. Debate is good.
Dr. Oz was pretty impressive to me.
