Share information about people coming to US
It has been reported as many as 2 million people from numerous countries have crossed our southern border in the last 18 months without proper authorization. Once here some of those seeking to stay here are transported to locations throughout the country where local social agencies, charities and schools attempt to meet their needs. The influx has reached the point where the mayors of New York City and Washington have asked for assistance in providing for the influx.
We can all agree that sharing information about the new arrivals would be beneficial. Knowing how many are coming, their arrival date, their ages, their language, their special needs and vaccination status would help the new residents obtain the services they need. Sharing this information is the sensible and compassionate thing to do.
Isn’t it reasonable to ask our elected representatives in Washington, in my case Susan Wild, to do the right thing and provide this information for the Lehigh Valley.
