Tax on Social Security benefits unfair

-

Personally I’m sick and tired of reading about the next increase we receive on Social Security, which may cause taxation of some or all of our benefits. If your total income is more than $25,000 for an individual or $32,000 for a married couple filing jointly, you must pay federal income taxes on your Social Security benefits. My wife and I have been paying on them from day one. We are one of the unfortunate couples to make a massive sum of over $32,000 yearly. Now Social Security has the gall to want to give us a raise next year. One would think its time for our elected officials to raise these limits to help the senior citizens on Social Security. My wife and I are not holding our breaths. Stephen Kucsan Jr.
