Scheller’s connection to China troubling
I read a recent article concerning financial reports that were filed by congressional candidates in the Lehigh Valley region. Some of the things reported by Lisa Scheller, who owns Silberline Manufacturing, were very concerning.
Scheller reported she earned between $100,000 and $1,000,000 in business income so far this year from Silberline factories in China. It also said that in
2021, she made between $100,000 and $1,000,000 from her Silberline company in Singapore. Not only is this a massive amount of money to be earned from overseas operations, but it was also made after Scheller closed her Silberline factory in Pennsylvania and sent the jobs to China.
This is not a partisan issue. The article said that Scheller’s primary opponent, Kevin Dellicker, criticized her for these business dealings in China, which are even more concerning now that we know how much money she’s making from them.
Scheller is making a ton of money from offshored jobs. Scheller’s business is “American-owned,” which means that she owns the business, and she takes all of the profits from foreign factories she opened after closing American ones. Disingenuous to say the least if you ask me.
