Geraldine M. Baron

-

Geraldine (Gerry) Marie Baron, 84, of Palmer Township, PA, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on August 26, 2022.

Gerry is survived by her husband, Myron (Mike) Baron and her three children and their spouses: Cheryl Geiser (Kevin) and David Baron (Tammy), both of Milford, NJ, and Debbie Bisio (Peter) of Bethesda, MD. She also is survived by ten grandchildren: Lauren Geiser, Leah Roberts (Marcel Roberts), Alex Bisio, Lowell Bisio, Katie Bisio, Sofia Bisio, Kelly Baron, Rich Baron, Macie Baron, Nevaeh Baron and one great-grandchild: Morticia Roberts, as well as, her sister, Louise Mathiews of Williamstown, NJ.

Gerry was born in Korn Krest, PA to the late Mary (Novak) and Louis Zugarek. She was a 1956 graduate of West Side High School in Newark, NJ, and she worked for more than 25 years as an executive assistant in the insurance and construction industries, retiring in 2000. She

had a joy for life and loved traveling and spending time with friends. Most of all, she enjoyed spending time with her family.

Gerry will be remembered for her easy laugh, quick wit and generous heart. She cared deeply for those around her and showed her love most of all through her amazing cooking. She always had a pot (or 4) on the stove, consistently making enough to feed not only her large family but anyone else lucky enough to find themselves at

her table. Gerry had a talent for coming home from a casino with more money than she went with and guessing who the killer was early in the episode of her favorite detective shows. She enjoyed playing weekly card games with “The Girls” and regular get togethers with her high school girlfriends and retired work colleagues. She also organized the annual family reunion, a cherished time for her family to come together and create wonderful memories.

A memorial celebration of Gerry’s life will be taking place at her home on Saturday, September 24th, 12:30-3:30 pm. We invite all who knew and loved her to stop by and share in the celebration.

In 2004, Gerry had life-saving heart surgery at The Cleveland Clinic, and in lieu of flowers, the family would love for any charitable donations given in her honor to go to The Cleveland Clinic or any other charity that is near and dear to your heart.

Gerry was enormously loved and will be deeply missed by everyone who knew her.
