Cruel fate awaits cows

A calf was born during the Allentown Fair and put on display without its mother. In The Morning Call story about the calf, named Dapper Dan, its owner is quoted as saying that the calf ’s birth showed people what life is like on his dairy farm.

They definitely got it right about separating a newborn from its mother, but forgot to tell the whole cruel and brutal story of what will probably happen to Dapper Dan and his mom. Maybe those kids pointing and smiling at the calf should be told he and his mom will most likely end up as food pretty soon. The intentionally hidden truth would turn smiles upside down and bring tears to your eyes. Ignoring nor hiding the truth doesn’t make the horrible reality of what happens to animals in agriculture go away. At your next meal, put compassion on your plate. Choose vegan.
