Prescription drug prices too high

I am a senior citizen who has worked all my life and am now retired. Prescription prices are so high now that I can

hardly afford to pay my bills. With rent, food, utilities and so on, there is not much left for other things. Unfortunately, I have prescriptions that I need to live comfortably, but they have gotten so expensive, I may soon have to choose between food and my meds. Is there anything that the drug companies can do? I know that I am not alone with this issue. We need some action on this please.
