Allentown City Council delays vote on abortion ordinances

Allentown City Council delayed a final vote on four controvers­ial abortion rights ordinances. The vote on the ordinances, which aim to protect the

right to abortion in Allentown, was scheduled for Wednesday, but were removed from the agenda Tuesday afternoon.

What’s next? Council member Josh Siegel, the prime sponsor of the ordinances, plans to reintroduc­e them in October.
