NCC offering safety training

Northampton Community College will be offering two training options for those seeking to gain general industry safety and health training. The courses will be held in the Fowler Family Southside Center, 511 E. Third St., Bethlehem. OSHA 10-Hour General Industry Outreach Program:

Intended to be an orientation to occupational safety and health, this program will provide entry-level industry workers with a broad awareness to recognize and prevent hazards and safety issues on a general industry site. The program dates are Sept. 26 and 27, and the fee is $150.

OSHA 30-Hour General Industry Outreach Program: Intended to provide participants with some safety responsibility through broad awareness on recognizing and preventing hazards with an emphasis on hazard identification, avoidance, control and prevention on a general industry site. The program dates are Sept. 26 and 29, and the fee is $450.
