Roy C. Horn, Sr.,

87, of Rextown

Road, Slatington, Washington Twp., died early Friday morning, September 16, 2022, at St. Luke's Hospital, Bethlehem. He was the husband of Dorothea H. (Peters) Horn since May 5, 1956. Born in Washington Twp., Lehigh County, he was a son of the late Alfred, Sr. and Clara (Wanamaker) Horn. Roy was employed in the maintenanc­e dept. of the former Dieters Foundry, Cherryvill­e, for over 30 years. Later, he worked in the same capacity for the Fairmount Foundry, Hamburg for 12 years until retiring. He was a member of Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, Slatedale. An army veteran, he served during peacetime and achieved the rank of SP4 (E-4). Roy was a member of the Emerald Vol. Fire Co., and the Slatington Skeet Club. He enjoyed NASCAR and was an avid hunter.

Survivors: Wife. Sons, Roy C., Jr. and wife Carol of Slatington, and Quinn and companion Lori DeLong of New Tripoli. 3 grandchild­ren, Sierra, Josslyn, and Alec. Great-granddaugh­ter, Kira. Sister, Marie Roth of Allentown. Brothers, Eugene of Allentown, and Vernon and wife Margaret of Slatington. Numerous nieces and nephews. He was predecease­d by sisters, Minnie Ziatyk, Amy Longenbach, Evelyn Neff, and Mildred Petrigani, and brothers, George, Arthur, Allen, Russell, Nevin, Alfred Jr., Marlin, Walter, and Willard.
