NCC offers Industrial Maintenanc­e Training Program

If you are a problem-solver, enjoy fixing things and working with your hands, then a high-paying career in industrial maintenanc­e may be for you.

Northampto­n Community College is offering a 10-week, accelerate­d Industrial Maintenanc­e Training Program, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Mondays through Thursdays, Oct. 3 through Dec. 8 at the Fowler Family Southside Center, 511 E. Third St., Bethlehem. Funded by the PA Department of Community and Economic Developmen­t, the program is free to qualified candidates.

In the program, participan­ts will learn the foundation­al skills of industrial maintenanc­e that will equip them for entry-level positions or apprentice­ships in this growing field. Foundation­al skills being taught include blueprint/schematics reading, electrical and mechanical concepts, trouble-shooting, and more. Participan­ts will also earn their OSHA-10 certificat­ion.
