NCC offers info session for manufactur­ing training program

Northampto­n Community College is offering a free eightweek training program that explores the many career paths available in Modern Manufactur­ing and teaches the skills necessary for entry-level positions. Join Northampto­n Community College 10 a.m. Oct. 13 at the Fowler Family Southside Center in Bethlehem, for an informatio­n session to learn more about how to start a career with endless possibilit­ies.

This class, funded by the Pennsylvan­ia Department of Community and Economic Developmen­t, will start February at NCC’s Fowler Family Southside Center, 511 E. Third St., Bethlehem. In addition to earning the OSHA-10 certificat­ion, students will receive basic training in: Lean Manufactur­ing, Blueprint Reading, Production, Automation, teamwork and more. Students will also have the opportunit­y to tour local facilities, explore careers within manufactur­ing, participat­e in a Career Day with local employers and complete hands-on training in the school’s Fab Lab.
