NCC offers info session for manufacturing training program
Northampton Community College is offering a free eightweek training program that explores the many career paths available in Modern Manufacturing and teaches the skills necessary for entry-level positions. Join Northampton Community College 10 a.m. Oct. 13 at the Fowler Family Southside Center in Bethlehem, for an information session to learn more about how to start a career with endless possibilities.
This class, funded by the Pennsylvania Department of Community and Economic Development, will start February at NCC’s Fowler Family Southside Center, 511 E. Third St., Bethlehem. In addition to earning the OSHA-10 certification, students will receive basic training in: Lean Manufacturing, Blueprint Reading, Production, Automation, teamwork and more. Students will also have the opportunity to tour local facilities, explore careers within manufacturing, participate in a Career Day with local employers and complete hands-on training in the school’s Fab Lab.
