Have patience, hope and persevere
In these still turbulent and trying times, perchance we stop and think of a time when things will get better; possibly in a quest for a better job opportunity or in issues in general that are progressing in our everyday life.
That’s when we have to really persevere in all our undertakings and be persistent in spite of our difficulties. It has been said, “a bend in the road is not the end of the road.”
As the saying often attributed to Franklin D. Roosevelt, goes “when you come to the end of your rope, tie a knot and hang on.”
Struggles do test our endurances. St. Paul stated that suffering produces endurance and endurance produces character and character produces hope, and hope does not disappoint us, and, “rejoice in hope, be patient in suffering, persevere in prayer.”
King David had many, many ordeals and adversities to be sure. Yet, he persevered through it all with prayers and supplications to the Lord.
Therein lies the perseverance of our abilities. Remember, the steadfast love of our Lord never ceases, if we have enough patience and faith we shall endure. Jacqueline L. Quigley
