Morgan Haak of Breinigsvi­lle, passed away on Monday October 3rd at the Phoebe Nursing

Home, Allentown,PA. Born in Coaldale PA on February 2nd 1940, he was the son of the late Morgan and Irene

Haak of Jim Thorpe. He was raised in Jim Thorpe and attended the area high school there. Morgan served four years in the U.S. Navy as a diver and later graduated from the Thaddeus Stevens

Trade School in Lancaster. He was employed by Bond and Miller Architects, Western Electric and Fire Dex as an estimator. Morgan enjoyed golf, tennis, summer vacationin­g with family in Ocean City, MD and Rehoboth Beach, DE and traveling to the Chesapeake Bay. He was a member of the St. Thomas More Catholic Church in Allentown.

Preceding him in death in addition to his parents were his brother George Haak, sisters; Barbara Fritz and Patricia Payor, brother in law Rev. William R. Dermott and great granddaugh­ter Athena Forte.

Surviving is his wife Mary (Dermott) Haak, they

would have celebrated 55 years of marriage on Thanksgivi­ng Day, daughter Melissa Forte and husband Nicholas, Northampto­n, three grandchild­ren; Kayle, Logan and Benjamin Forte, sister in law Rita Malpedo and husband Carmen “Rick”, Port Charlotte, FL along with several nieces and nephews.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday November 5th at 11am in the St. Thomas More Church, Allentown. Friends may call on that day from 10am until the start of mass. Private interment will be held at a later date.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to a charity of your choice.

Fierro Funeral Service of Hazleton is assisting the family with the arrangemen­ts.
