Leonard “Lenny” R. Keefer, 86, of Catasauqua and formerly of Allentown, passed away in his home being held by his loving wife on

October 14, 2022. He was the husband of Pauline E. Keefer

and they would have observed their 9th wedding anniversar­y on October 19th. He was also the husband of the late Barbara A. (Burch) Keefer, who passed away in 2009. Born in Emmaus, he was the son of the late Hugh F. and Bertha (Eck) Keefer.

Lenny was a graduate of Allentown High School, Class of 1954. He was President of the Church Council at St. Paul's UCC, Allentown, for many years. He served in the U.S. Marines Corps Reserves, retired as a First Sergeant, and was Sergeant at Arms in the Marine Corps League. He was awarded Marine of the Year in 2021 and he was inducted into the Chapel of Four Chaplains.

Survivors: Wife; Sons, Thomas Keefer and his wife, Cheryl, and David Keefer and his wife, Krista; Step-Daughters, Linda Johnson and her husband, Johnny, and their three children, and Dr. Karen D. Wright; 4 Grandchild­ren and 1 Great-Grandchild; Brother, Paul Keefer; Sisters, Dolores Reiss, Eileen Gerhard, Margaret Reith, and Joyce Davis. Leonard was predecease­d by his daughter, Bonnie Sue Konek, and his brothers, Neil and Dennis Keefer.

Services: 11 AM Thursday, October 20, 2022 at St. Paul's UCC, 340 E. Hamilton Street,

Allentown, PA 18109. Viewings will be held 6-8 PM Wednesday, October 19 at Bachman, Kulik & Reinsmith Funeral Home, 17th & Hamilton Streets, Allentown, and 10-11 AM Thursday in the church. Interment to follow at Cedar Hill Memorial Park, Allentown. www.BKRFH.com
