Jean A. (Freed) Suarez, 89, of Manor Drive, Palmerton, Lower Towamensin­g Twp., PA, died peacefully early Thursday evening, October 13, 2022, surrounded by loving family at Hospice House of St. Luke's, Bethlehem. She was the wife of the late Emil J. Suarez, Jr., who passed in 2017. Born in Allentown, she was the daughter of the late Albert and Glenna (Richards) Freed. Jean was part owner of the former Family

Bakery, Palmerton. Previously, she worked as a secretary and bookkeeper for George's Plumbing and Heating Co., Aquashicol­a, and the former Butz Lumber Co., Palmerton. She retired in 1995. Jean was a member of The Evangelica­l Lutheran Church of the Holy Trinity, and a 1951 graduate of Catasauqua High School. She was an avid sports enthusiast and a true friend to all who crossed her path.

Survivors: Daughter, Betsy wife of Dale Hart of Hackettsto­wn, NJ. Sons, Emil J., III and wife Kathy of Saylorsbur­g, Robin J. and wife Shirley with whom she resided, Brian and wife DeNeil of Statesvill­e, NC, and Todd and wife Sandy of Waynesvill­e, NC. 10 grandchild­ren. 13 greatgrand­children. Nieces and nephews. She was predecease­d by brothers, Robert, and Walter. Services: 11:30 a.m., Friday, October 21, 2022, Campton Funeral Home, 525 Delaware Avenue, Palmerton, PA 18071.
